Thirty Six

Thirty Six is a rule-based photography project made with a fixed camera. The frame is set in advance and does not change.
A timer runs for 36 minutes. At roughly each minute, the shutter is triggered until the 36-frame film roll is finished. The timing is fixed. The camera does not respond to what happens in front of it.
Anyone in the frame decides what they do or do not do. There is no direction, correction, or adjustment between shots. The photographer does not seek to intervene once the process begins.
The photographs record time passing under these conditions. Small changes build up across the roll. Others do not appear at all.
Each roll is a single session. When the film runs out, the work ends.
